All Along the Watchtower

In this lesson we will learn to play "All Along the Watchtower" written by Bob Dylan and later recorded by a number of artists including Jimi Hendrix and Neil Young.

This song consists of the Am, G and F chords and we will play them as barre chords.

The song is fairly easy to play so let's first take a look at the chord formations we will use.

As you can see, we are looking at another example of a three chord song that became famous. Below is a chart with the first couple of lines.

The song simply repeats those lines over and over.
